Why did you come to Japan?
This is the most common question I get. During a company event that happened during my first week in Tokyo, one of the directors was introducing me to different people and 99% of the time, that was the first question. Considering there were over 200 people, I decided to make a new story to make it a bit fun: I'm the illegitimate child of the company's founder who sent me to the other side of the world, I got into debt and had to leave the country and so on.

The truth is I moved from London after I asked for a transfer to Tokyo. Why did I ask? Well, after living in working in London for over 15 years (the initial plan was 1 year) I wanted to experience living in a different country. Since I liked Japanese food and culture and had been studying Japanese for a year, I thought the best way to learn the language would be here!
I've been living in Tokyo since June 2018 and while I'm nowhere an expert and still adjusting, there are many things that caught my attention, things that surprised me while it was normal to all my Japanese colleagues and vice-versa. I love writing about my passions, what interest me, what interests others and sharing all of my thoughts with my readers.
