iPhone 11 Pro download app error? No WhatsApp? Don’t panic

Just got your new iPhone 11 or even the 11 Pro and finished setting it up? However, you’ve noticed some of the app have the annoying cloud because they haven’t downloaded, and when you click on the app to do so, you encounter the following error:

“Unable to install X”

This app could not be installed.

Whyyyy... you screamed in you head. Sounds familiar? Then you reacted as I did.

Tried resetting, changing the country in the App Store from Japan to UK (since I originally bought it from the UK store) and nothing changed. Could not even delete the app from the icon so I went to: Settings > General > iPhone Storage and headed to the app in question to delete it from there.

Now here’s the trick: before you do that, try reinstalling from this window

I had to click “Reinstall App” a few times but in the end it worked for most of them.

If that still doesn’t work then another reason could be that the app is yet to be compatible with the iOS 13 that comes with the new iPhone so don’t despair and hopefully there’ll be an update for your app soon!
